Scheduled maintenance, is an annual schedule of planned maintenance actions aimed at the prevention of mechanical breakdowns and failures.

The primary goal is to prevent the failure of equipment, however many planned works or feature adjustments such as key fob battery exchange, pass code reprogramming and timer settings may also be undertaken at this time. Maintenance visits reduce operational costs and protect the investment made by increasing the useable life span of the gates.

The safety check will be repeated with force test results and any adjustments documented, this shows ongoing evidence that the regulations have been complied with.
Liability on part of the owner is thus reduced or even negated completely.
The technical file will be referred to and updated with any relevant mechanical or safety information.
